Remembering Bob....

Bob kept things simple, yet effective. He taught us that a short answer was more effective than a paragraph. And if we could do something in one step, don't take ten. He respected the time that people gave to Bach Fest and never wasted time talking about and doing things that were not a direct, positive effect on the festival. He had a very sweet way of just having a conversation with you, but when it finished you realized that you had been in Bob Myers' classroom. We had many of those talks in his home over a generous glass of his wonderful wine. He became my "guru", in a sense, as I soaked in as much knowledge from him as possible. Bob's belief in the importance of Bach Fest for this community will be remembered. And I will always remember what he taught us. He is greatly missed.
